88 - Fallout 76

Season 1, Ep. 87

Slade, Joey, and Tim had been friends since childhood, bonded by their mutual love for video games and adventure. Every Friday evening, they gathered at Slade’s house, where their gaming setup awaited them like a portal to other worlds. Tonight, they were embarking on a journey through the vast, post-apocalyptic landscape of Fallout 76.

The room buzzed with excitement as Slade powered up his console. Tim grabbed a bag of chips, Joey adjusted his headset, and they all settled in for a marathon gaming session. Each of them had chosen a different character build: Slade was a seasoned sniper specializing in stealth and long-range attacks, Joey was the group’s powerhouse with heavy armor and melee weapons, and Tim had focused on crafting and survival skills.

Their adventure began in Vault 76, the last bastion of humanity in a world ravaged by nuclear war. As they emerged into the Appalachia wilderness, they were met with breathtaking vistas and dangerous creatures lurking in the shadows. Their mission was clear: explore, scavenge, and survive.

Slade took point, leading the group through dense forests and crumbling towns, his sharp eyes scanning for enemies and valuable loot. Joey followed closely behind, wielding a massive sledgehammer that made short work of any mutant or robot foolish enough to challenge them. Tim, the team’s resident builder, scavenged resources and crafted essential items to keep them alive.

As they delved deeper into the wasteland, they encountered other players—some friendly, others hostile. Teamwork became crucial as they defended their camp from raiders and joined forces with fellow survivors to tackle more challenging quests. Whether they were battling mutated monstrosities or exploring abandoned vaults, Slade, Joey, and Tim relied on each other’s strengths to overcome every obstacle.

The hours melted away as they laughed, strategized, and celebrated their victories. They uncovered hidden lore about the world before the bombs fell, pieced together the story of Vault-Tec’s experiments, and marveled at the game’s dynamic weather and day-night cycle.

Eventually, exhaustion caught up with them, and they reluctantly decided to call it a night. They saved their progress, exchanged promises to continue their adventure next week, and bid farewell to the virtual wasteland they had come to love.

As Slade shut down the console and the room returned to its normal quiet, the echoes of their adventures lingered. In Fallout 76, they weren’t just friends playing a game—they were explorers forging bonds that would endure far beyond the flickering screen.

    01:01:38||Season 8, Ep. 6
    Benny the monkey had watched the humans from his treetop for as long as he could remember. He saw them bustling around, bags in hand, always bringing home tasty treats. Curious and hungry, Benny decided to try it himself. So, one morning, when the sun was just rising, he slipped down from his tree, donned an old cap he’d found, and set off into town.The town square was busier than he’d expected. People rushed around, not even noticing the little monkey weaving through the crowd. Benny kept his head down, only stopping once he reached a big store with rows of fruits and veggies right by the entrance. His eyes lit up – bananas, mangoes, apples! He quickly grabbed a basket and began filling it.He wove through the aisles, adding everything he’d seen humans pick up before. Bread, crackers, even a small carton of milk. He hummed to himself, delighted by the success of his little mission. At last, with a basket piled high, he reached the checkout counter.The cashier, a young woman, looked down and stifled a giggle. "Well, aren’t you the cutest customer I've had all day!" she said, scanning his items as if this was the most normal thing in the world.Just as Benny was reaching out to take the bag, he felt a tug on his cap. He turned to find a little girl pointing at him, eyes wide. “Mommy! Look! The monkey is shopping!” she exclaimed.People began gathering, snapping pictures and laughing, amazed at the monkey's calm demeanor as he paid with a handful of shiny coins he’d collected from around town. Benny tried to keep cool, acting just as he’d seen the humans do, until a loud bark interrupted him.A scruffy street dog, curious and territorial, had spotted the gathering crowd. He locked eyes with Benny, who suddenly felt his confidence falter. Clutching his grocery bag, he made a run for it, the dog in hot pursuit.Dodging through alleyways, Benny finally ducked into a quiet, dim building. As his eyes adjusted, he noticed shelves filled with different things – clocks, jewelry, old books. He'd stumbled into a pawn shop.The shop owner, an elderly man with thick glasses, peered down at him. “Well, what have we here? A shopping monkey, eh?” Benny offered him the bag with wide, pleading eyes.The old man chuckled, gave Benny a quick scratch behind the ear, and handed him a silver pendant in return. “For your bravery,” he said.Benny dashed back to his tree with his bag, the pendant around his neck as a badge of honor. From that day on, he became the monkey who not only grocery shopped but also wore a mysterious silver charm – a legend in town. And only Benny knew the secret of how he’d earned it.

  • 4. 2 Blokes From Blighty - The Joey King Special

    59:59||Season 8, Ep. 4
    Joey King was running late, juggling a coffee cup and her nearly-dead phone. Suddenly, a sleek, retro-styled hoverboard—shaped like a Ford Pinto but modernized with neon accents—appeared beside her.“Need a lift?” it asked, its voice calm and friendly. She hesitated, then climbed on, gripping the chrome handlebars. The hoverboard zipped forward, smoothly weaving through traffic, making Joey feel like she was flying.As they neared her destination, Joey couldn’t shake the strange feeling this ride gave her. “Why’d you stop for me?” she asked.The hoverboard’s voice softened. “I sensed you were going to do something drastic—something that would change who you are. You don’t need that to feel beautiful.”Joey blinked, caught off guard. She had been planning to stop by a plastic surgery clinic after her meeting."But...why do you care?" she whispered.“Because beauty isn’t what others say it is. It’s in the journey—and from where I hover, you’re exactly as you should be.”As Joey stepped off, something inside her felt lighter. With a soft hum, the Pinto-like hoverboard floated away, leaving her with a smile and a renewed sense of self.

  • 2. 2 Blokes From Blighty - Abandoned Tamagochis

    59:58||Season 8, Ep. 2
    David Hahn, known for his eccentric experiments, stared at the small plastic egg in his palm. It wasn’t uranium, but a Tamagotchi, its screen blank and lifeless. He couldn't resist—there was power to harness, even in this.With a mischievous grin, David wired up a tiny battery, scavenged from his latest homemade reactor project. He fiddled with the connections, attaching the delicate wires to the toy’s inner circuits. With a spark, the Tamagotchi blinked to life."Feed me," the digital creature demanded, pixelated eyes wide.David chuckled. "Oh, you want power, little one?"He plugged the Tamagotchi into a custom mini-generator, fueled by some radioactive material in a glass vial he had stashed away. The screen flickered, but instead of the usual cute beep, the Tamagotchi let out a strange hum, its digital body growing. Onscreen, it developed a cape and antennae, becoming some sort of superhero, flying through the menu options with atomic speed.David watched in awe as the virtual pet morphed, evolving far beyond anything he expected. “You’ve gone nuclear, little buddy!” And as his supercharged Tamagotchi flew across the screen, Hahn couldn’t help but wonder what other experiments he could conduct with a virtual pet gone rogue.
