“Black” cities like Atlanta, D.C. and New Orleans, and black institutions like HBCUs, have been lovingly referred to as "Wakanda" — the mythical &amp; revolutionary home of comic book character, Black Panther. However, none of them—and consequently, none of us—have ever been safe from the supremacy of whiteness, racism and race-based violence.
