She finished in the top ten in the finished in the Omnium, ninth in the team pursuit, and 11th in the Madison.
The Wicklow cyclist then took that good form to the Track World Championships in Denmark where she won the bronze medal in the points race and came very close to clinching gold.
Lara chats to Hazel Nolan about her year, how cycling has grown in Ireland, what a velodrome might mean for the sport here and her aspirations for the next Olympic Games in LA.
