Germany lose on penalties! Plus Brazil’s brilliant comeback

Nagelsmann, Neuer and the Netherlands are going home after an enthralling day of World Cup action.

Jimbo, Tom Williams and Laurie Whitwell are by the pool in LA, taking in all the knockout action.

Germany lose a World Cup shootout for the first time ever, as Paraguay progress to the last 16. There’s also controversy after Jonathan Tah’s disallowed winner in extra-time. Raphael Honigstein is back.

Morocco will face Canada in the last 16 after also winning an incredible penalty shootout against the Netherlands.

Brazil found themselves behind against Japan at half-time but find a way to the next round with Gabriel Martinelli’s last-gasp winner. Natalie Gedra watched it unfold.

Nick Miller was there in Houston. And Belgium and Egypt also go through while Iran have to wait a bit longer after a crazy conclusion in Group G.

Netherlands set up a last 32 clash with Morocco while Japan and Sweden also progress to the next round from Group F. As do Australia and possibly Paraguay after their goalless draw in Group D.

Meanwhile Bosnia are look almost certain to play USA after their young guns down Qatar.Maher Mezahi watched Morocco progress to the next round after being a scare by Haiti while Ben Mabley is in Osaka looking ahead to Japan v Sweden.Plus traveling in self-driving cars and hiking with Rob Delaney.

Natalie Gedra was there and drops in from Houston to speak Ronaldo and the Seleção. And in Guadlajara Colombia beat DR Congo 1-0 to go top of group K ahead of their game with Portugal on Friday.
