The conversation kicks off with the incident between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen at the Circuit of the Americas as the penalty given to the McLaren driver has caused ripples of discontent within the F1 community.

Next, we delve into Norris’ ability to manage the pressure of the title challenge in F1, as Verstappen managed to extend his lead in after Austin, as Norris himself admitted to driving like a ‘muppet’. 

Attention then turns to the driver shake-up at RB, with Liam Lawson making his second debut in the car with the Kiwi looking impressive and finishing ahead of teammate Yuki Tsunoda and just behind Red Bull driver Sergio Perez in the fight for a seat at the top team. 

Mercedes, and Lewis Hamilton in particular, had a torrid weekend in the USA with the seven-time champion barely lasting three laps before an uncharacteristic spin put him out the race. Was he at fault? Or are there still fundamental issues with he car? 

To wrap up, we turn our focus to the 2024 Mexican GP, where Ferrari will be hoping to recreate their heroics in Austin, where Charles Leclerc led a sensational one-two for the Scuderia.

All things pointed to a huge points haul for McLaren and Norris. However, we witnessed history as the Dutchman drove the race of his life in wet conditions at Interlagos.Elsewhere, Lewis Hamilton had a shocking weekend for Mercedes and at one point suggested he might not see out the final three races of the 2024 season. And Alpine make a miraculous double appearance on the podium much to everyone's surprise.

And will this huge penalty change the way he races?Attention turns to the man of the moment - Carlos Sainz - who got his wish and was able to take victory for Ferrari once again, before he leave for Williams at the end of the 2024 F1 season. His victory, also cements Ferrari as the main challengers to McLaren in the fight for the constructors' championship.Elsewhere, Mercedes look lost at sea once again with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton struggling to match the pace of the front runners. Questions were also raised as Russell was running an old floor, and was able to match the pace of his teammate, making Hamilton's decision to jump ship look all the more inspired.The fight for a seat in the Red Bull team took another twist in Mexico as Liam Lawson capitalised on a dismal Sergio Perez performance to firmly stake his claim to be racing alongside Verstappen next season. But is it too late for Lando?The conversation then shifts to Daniel Ricciardo, and whether or not he is leaving Formula 1 and RB for good? All the signs seemed to point to the Australian being replaced by Liam Lawson for the remainder of the season, though no official statements were given from RB, Red Bull or Ricciardo himself.
