This morning Tommy Marren was joined on the show by the Nutritionist and Dietitian Sarah Keogh who is the Consultant Dietician for The Coeliac Society of Ireland. This May, the Coeliac Society of Ireland wants to highlight Ireland’s often-misunderstood autoimmune disease as part of its official Coeliac Awareness Month and estimate that more than 78,000 adults and children in Ireland are living with undiagnosed coeliac disease. Dean Kenny of Young Fine Gael joined Tommy Marren on Wednesday to discuss their bill to make spiking a standalone criminal offence which was restored to the order paper in the Dáil last week. The bill, drafted by Young Fine Gael, will make spiking a standalone criminal offence carrying a maximum sentence of up to 10 years if passed by Dáil Éireann. On yesterday's show Tommy Marren was joined Joe Egan of Ballaghaderreen. Joe alongside business owners and other concerned citizens has been protesting the proposed public realm works that have been proposed for the town.
