Tommy Marren was joined by Tom Gilligan and Giuliano Gnagnatti from the band Giuliano & Friends. The band have jut released thier first physical CD, a limited single ''The Way We Were'', an all-acoustic, intimate reinterpretation of the classic made famous by Barbra Streisand. In an era of streaming and downloads, the band deliberately chose to make a physical CD, becuase once they're gone, they're gone.

    This morning Tommy Marren spoke to Sharon O'Reilly. As a child, Sharon suffered a bad fall from a horse, which cracked two vertebrae in her lower spine. As a result of this, as well as injuries from football and a car crash, Sharon has suffered from a significant spinal injury in the last few years. Before she turned 40, Sharon underwent major spinal surgery and had to learn how to walk again. Now, Sharon has challenged herself to climb the 5,895 metre high Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the new Sunflower Hospice, the first childrens hospice outside Dublin.
