Kathleen spoke of her personal experiences and the assistance that she received from the Federation for Victim Assistance. Tom spoke of the work that is done within the organisation. February 22nd each year is dedicated to European Day for Crime Victims and this year on Sunday 23rd February Victim Assistance are organising a special Mass in Knock Basilica to mark the occasion and remember all victims of crime and trauma throughout Ireland. Mayo Sinéad O'Brien and Aisling Scott who discussed their concerns and frustrations regarding the Cong Relief Road Scheme. Proposals are currently being formulated for a Relief Road Scheme that will serve to address traffic and transport needs at Cong Village by Mayo County Council in association with Galway County Council and the Department of Transport. Michael D, Sinéad and Aisling were also joined by Ballinrobe-based councillor Michael Burke who spoke on the issue. Cllr Michael Burke also later confirmed that the closing date for comments or observations in respect to the proposed scheme had been extended to February the 21st.
