I’m Not A Progressive, But I Think Dems Should Embrace Progressives. To Win
52:00|I loved this conversation with David Sirota, founder/editor-in-chief of The Lever. We talked about what Democrats should do to win, why Dems are so damn afraid and cautious, and what Dems can actually learn from the Tea Party and learn from this Trump era. Great talk. Have a listen.
He’s Planning Bad Shit On Election Day. Assume He’ll DO The Bad Shit
37:35|We just found out that for the first time in over two decades, the United States won’t allow international observers to come watch our elections process. The Trump administration is not allowing it this year. Why? What are they planning? What don’t they want the world to see? Assume the worst.
Yes, Trump’s Brain Is Pudding, But He’s Also A Sociopath
30:29|Did Trump just misspeak last night when he told Iran to go ahead and blow up Los Angeles and San Diego? No. He’s the most divisive president this country has ever had. And even though he’s rapidly losing his mind, he’d burn this entire country down if it would benefit him. Trump gets no benefit of the doubt. Never.
If It’s Possible, Trump Is Getting Worse Every Single Day
30:07|He was in Ohio over the weekend, bribed voters with money if they voted Republican, threatened not to help people if they didn’t vote Republican. He’s attacking our elections most viciously every day. He’s getting nastier with his personal insults every single day. 30 days to go until the midterms.
Don’t Be Distracted, Keep Your Head Down And Vote
27:47|My weekly conversation with long time Chicago Democrat Edwin Eisendrath, we discussed that state of the campaign, our concerns about the polls and Trump’s efforts to mess with the midterms, and how the Democratic Party needs to remain a big tent. Have a listen.
Vote Against Cruelty In November
29:03|58 people have died in ICE custody so far. Or at least, those are the 58 deaths we’re aware of. Probably more. And this administration’s answer to that number is - “this ain’t the Holiday Inn.” They don’t care and they’re purposely displaying cruelty. Because cruelty has always been the point.
Yesterday Was A Reminder That A Criminal/Traitor Is In The White House
42:30|Yesterday, I was down. Jack Smith’s haunting words that the president of the United States refused to accept an election loss and committed crimes trying to overturn an election just took me back to how wrong this country is that we never held him accountable for his crimes. I don’t know that we’ll ever recover from that.
