  • 23. What Makes a Serial Killer? With Author Heather Mroczenski ("Blueprint Of A Killer")!

    25:16||Season 15, Ep. 23
    It's amazing what someone can do with their skills and apply it to a fascination with true crime! Heather certainly made use of her skills and has honed a fascinating read from that fascination. All while she's doing the good work with autistic children. Hmmm, if there were only something I could do for the true crime world....nope, couldn't come up with an idea. But have a listen to this episode while I try to figure it out. Thanks for coming on the show, Heather!Heather's info: Instagram, @heather.mroHere's the Amazon link to purchase " Blueprint Of A Killer" : https://tinyurl.com/2375rkvmProgramming note: Catch "Sherpa Selects" on Saturdays. 41:27||Season 6, Ep. 18
    I'm happy to let you know that you can STILL catch new episodes of "Long Shot Leaders" on your favorite podcast apps. Well, why wouldn't a podcast about resilience NOT be around, right? He was a really nice guest, so check this one out...it's very inspiring!_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________I hope that when you, dear listeners, hear interviews, like today's chat with Michael, keep in mind that there is always hope even when things may seem to be at their most dire or bleak. It's certainly not the easiest thing to focus on in hard times, but trust me, it's there. Just have a listen to Michael's show, and that idea is confirmed.Plus, he brings a level of empathy and relatability, through the events in his own personal life. • 17. Podcaster "Big Skinny" Kenney Pope ("Casual Conversations")!

    36:24||Season 6, Ep. 17
    Nowadays, the Big Skinny man has been hosting YouTube videos spotlighting barbecuing. (And he's gotten skinnier...go figure!)But you know, that's gotta be yummy...nothing better than Texas barbecue, right? But check out his tales of radio and podcasting here!____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________After over 140 episodes, I'm surprised that I haven't spoken to to more podcasters with radio backgrounds, with of course, the exception being the brilliant Mr. Bruce (or Uncle Bruce, if you're listening to our "Too Many 80's Songs" mini-podcast on Spotify....and why aren't you?? Either way, the check is in the mail.) But Big Skinny definitely has that classic country music radio voice. Certainly not one that you'd confuse with the BBC. He's definitely a down-to- earth Texan who just has such a love for a lot of the music that we both grew up on. Which is why it's so easy to have a "Casual Conversation" with him. By the way, Big Skinny did the recording of our interview, and I did the mixing and editing on it. I felt it really sounded like we were in the same room, and I almost sounded like I did back in my college radio days, where my show would regularly finish behind static in the ratings. Thanks, Big Skinny, and I'll keep an eye on Danny's tv watching habits!!Kenney's info: YouTube show:The Podshack Presents Casual Conversations with Big Skinny; Email: bigskinny@bigskinnyvoiceovers.netKenney's faves: The Way I Heard It, YouTube:Professor of Rock, History of RockSherpa Suggestions (Radio personalities with podcasts):Elvis Duran Presents The 15 Minute Morning ShowThe Bobby Bones ShowThe Breakfast ClubThe Mike Berry ShowThe Brooklyn Boys The Mark Levin PodcastThe Clark Howard PodcastDirect from Hollywood with Ryan SeacrestThe Steve Harvey Morning ShowFollow the show on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram at @Sherpalution, and check out my website, sherpalution.com , for older episodes, Sherpa Sheets, and Spotify playlists. • 21. "F-Bomb" Record Broken! Meet Podcaster Mr. Burnz Sativa ("Stupid People With Pets")!

    25:51||Season 15, Ep. 21
    Rebels, to be fair, it's just that Burnz is VERY passionate about the ethical treatment of animals. (It's not like he came on the show to break the record. I have a priest for that.)So, if an "F-bomb" or 20 came out of his mouth, who am I to judge? I don't swear on the show, but you should hear me when I'm shaving my back and I misspell my name. (Yes, when I'm doing them both at once!) But he brought up a lot of interesting points in the course of the interview which were certainly food ( or puppy chow?) for thought. If you've got the same kind of passion that he does for animals, be sure to check out his podcast. But maybe listen on headphones. I don't want my priest to get jealous. • 15. Podcaster David Fedor ("Bee Gees (and Me)"!

    38:15||Season 6, Ep. 15
    Alas, David isn't doing any more podcasts. But he has been involved in other media, like pro wrestling and outgoors shows. Sadly, I heard he was having some health issues. But as long as I see his social media posts, I smile to know he's "Staying Alive". (Sorry, but you know you were thinking that....) But, check out this fun interview!__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________-The Bee Gees, you say? Yep. I think it's pretty cool how David uses his passion as a superfan and reaches out to other superfans with a great podcast. ( Listen on Spotify, and hear their music along with the show.) Some of you might not be aware of their whole catalogue. They're just not the artists who did that "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack (one of the highest selling movie soundtracks ever)? Well then, you've got a lot of catching up to do, Blinky! Mr. Fedor, I do believe we've caught got some Bee Gees-curious minds. Either that, or they're trying to sell me timeshares on the island of Dua Lipa. I can never tell. • 20. Homicide Detective Sgt. Michele Wood ("Model Detective :A True Story of Heels, Handcuffs, and Homicides")!

    34:54||Season 15, Ep. 20
    Interestingly enough, I've noticed that my thoughts on Michele's book are already mirrored in the Amazon reviews that are out. It was a real pleasure to get to know her for a little while, too, to hear about the fascinating life that she's led so far. I don't think watching as many episodes of "Law and Order" would make me even think that I was detective material. Heck, I don't even know who stole the cookie from the cookie jar! (Please note, if you're under 50, that joke just sailed over your head like a high fly ball in Wrigley Stadium.) But she still continues to do amazing work and serve the people that a simple "thank you" seems inadequate. Maybe, "you should do a true crime podcast" would suffice? Either way, thanks so much for coming on the show, Michele!Michele's info: Website: modeldetectivebook.com ; Instagram, X: @michelewoodnotHere's the Amazon link to purchase " Model Detective": https://tinyurl.com/ysuz2wdpProgramming note: Catch "Sherpa Selects" on Saturdays.
