5. Sherpa Selects: Dating Coach Rick Soetebier!
40:32||Season 4, Ep. 5Rick is STILL busy to this day, making broken hearts happy! Check out his websitem if this interests you!________________________________________________________________________________________________My bulb might have gone out during my conversation with Rick, but it was an enlightening conversation. (Oh, he did not just write that...) I'm always amazed by the different perspectives presented by my guests on dating and relationships. I guess it's why they say men are from Mars and women are from Venus. And why I'm still not welcome in Space Camp. I think if I had a dating coach when I was single, I would have been released into free agency ver quickly. Check out Rick's website and the free pdf. to read. It's really interesting stuff!Rick's info: website -https://ricksoetebier.com/ "Dating Backward" Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/Dating-Backward-practical-dating-finding/dp/1492817880/ref=sr_1_1?rid=IN7CIXFOPRV4&dchild=1&keywords=dating+backwards&qid=1594149278&s=books&sprefix=dating+back%2Cpopular%2C150&sr=1-1Sherpa suggestions: (Relationship Podcasts)Is This Love? 3. How Did We Start Using Forks, Knives, and Spoons?
07:55||Season 14, Ep. 3Trivia time!!! Since this week was the debut of "Fake People, Real Trivia, our AI trivia show hosted by the SherpaLu Studio Players. We figured we'd celebrate by previewing another episode to check out. But you can subscribe to it on podcast apps and the Sherpalution YouTube page. In this episode of Fake People, Real Trivia, explore the fascinating history of knives, spoons, and forks—three essential dining utensils. We'll trace the origins of knives from prehistoric survival tools to modern tableware, highlighting cultural shifts in dining etiquette, including the Middle Ages and anedict from King Louis XIV against sharp knives. Turning to spoons, their evolution from basic wooden versions to ornate metal designs used in ceremonies by the affluent of ancient Greece and Rome. Also, the intriguing journey of forks, from their scandalous association in Renaissance Italy to becoming a staple in households worldwide. Overall, it's a reflect on how societal changes and industrialization have democratized these utensils, making them accessible to all. Listeners are invited to participate by submitting trivia questions, blending entertainment and knowledge. Our sources:https://gizmodo.com/the-history-of-knives-forks-and-spoons-1440558371https://www.foodunfolded.com/article/invention-of-the-fork-how-did-forks-come-to-behttps://www.eatingutensils.net/history-of-cutlery/timeline-of-eating-utensils/Credits: Produced, Arranged, Lyrics( poorly written) for show music: Jim The Podcast SherpaFollow us on social media and YouTube @Sherpalution Send questions to jimthepodcastsherpa@gmail.comThis podcast was created mostly (Cover Art, Music, Voices, Show Notes) using artificial intelligence. 42:53||Season 4, Ep. 4Robert is still keeping very busy! Catch him in the 2024 movie "Saturday Night", where he plays SNL director, Dave Wilson!________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________You know, maybe I could take a cue from Robert and call my show, "$herpa: Too Many Podca$t$!" Or not. That title looks like I fell asleep at my keyboard. Which I have done, so I speak from experience. Robert has had an amazing and impressive career, starting as a standup comic back in the 1980's, through today, with all of his accomplishments so far. And I would look to that list of accomplishments to continue to grow.. You'll hear in the interview how incredibly well-versed the man is in a variety of subjects, which I'd presume stems from his naturally curious nature. I always enjoy episodes where I get to learn things. But the only time I'm interested in being the smartest person in the room is if I was the only person in the room. Maybe that day will come? Thank you so much, Robert, for your time. Sherpa Selects: SSR- Actor/Author /Director Bill Foster("Fear TheWalking Dead", "Showdown at the Brazos")!
37:19||Season 4, Ep. 3Bill was such an incredibly nice guy-and still, what a fascinating career he's had! Check this interview out!______________________________________________________________________________________________Quick question- How many people do you know who have written children's books, played a "walker" on "Fear the Walking Dead" and own a vineyard...all in one lifetime, that is? Well, look no further, and have a listen to my interview with actor/director/incredibly cool guy Bill Foster. This is truly someone who has walked the walk and talked the talk in many different fields. I'm slightly younger than him, but I already want to be him when I grow up (um, whenever that may be). So, have a listen while you're sitting around the campfire or riding a horse. No campfire? No horse? Then just listen! And while you're at it, please leave the show a nice review on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or iHeartRadio. Sherpa Selects: SSR- Actor Dwight Turner ("Chicago Fire")!
43:00||Season 4, Ep. 2These days, while Dwight is still acting, he's involved with a lot of the other elements of acting and cresating as well. Check out this interview from 2020!I had a good time interviewing Dwight. He's a really down-to-earth actor with a true dedication to his craft. You can hear how much he love to act in our interview. And he'll be singing soon, too! When I was watching his clip on "1000 Ways to Die", it made me wonder about a bizarre death for the Sherpa. I'm imagining being eaten by Goldfish. Not the sea animal, mind you. I'm referring to the snack. They are, after all, "the snack that bites you back", Which is kind of a strange tag line for something small children eat. i call political incorrectness! (Oh no, not again...) But I digress. Listen to my interview with Dwight, (as well as all of the others this week) and check out his talent in the links below., And while your at it, subscribe, rate, review (nicely) and share this podcast! That will be your good deed for Hollywood Week!
