Episode 13 - TIM SNIDER, VIOLIN WARRIOR (Part 1)

Ep. 13
To most of the world, Tim Snider is best known as the Violin Warrior in the band Nahko and Medicine for the People. But my fans might remember Tim from when we shared stages together back in the day, on the road during his time as the leader of a young band called Sol'Jibe.I know few people who’ve experienced 'the music life' from as many perspectives as Tim has. He started as a bandleader, and he built his band up to full-time multi-regional success around America. Then he went solo, and made his mark up and down the west coast as a one man violin looping show... and now he finds himself as a sideman in one of the fastest rising acts I’ve seen in recent musical history. We covered a LOT in a fascinating, two-part conversation... during the fiercest rainstorm Central New York has seen in years.Tim's website: http://timsnidermusic.comNahko & Medicine for the People: http://nahko.com/home/(Want the FULL interview? The Seth Horan Podcast - Episode 7 - DAVID PETERS (Part 1)

My guest is singer/songwriter David Peters.  Based in Los Angeles, he's a critically acclaimed and sought-after producer and engineer (in addition to working with nearly everyone I know in some way, he's also helped create four of my own albums).  Recently, he's focused his efforts on the recreation of “The Secret Album”, which was an intimate song collection he made 18 years ago and only showed to a handful of people… one of which was me.  It is one of the most profoundly moving records I've ever heard, and I've been waiting for the day he would resurrect this music and release it to the world. In this episode, we listen to samples of the songs that will be on “Makeshift Memorials", and talk about the process of revisiting such intimate pieces, so many years later. MAKESHIFT MEMORIALS (Selections from The Secret Album)  WILL BE RELEASED THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER 2017  Listen and buy it through David's Bandcamp site: http://bit.ly/2CAg3xcand visit: http://www.oakhouserecording.com  follow David to stay in the know and get the official announcement: https://www.instagram.com/thedavidpeters/ https://www.facebook.com/david.peters.524 Other albums/artists/references: The Drug of Dreams https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-drug-of-dreams/596211731 Soft Gifts For Mayhem https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/soft-gifts-for-mayhem/85974017 Oakhouse Recording (David's studio): http://www.oakhouserecording.com references to the “Falafelelf” project David mentions (under Discography): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emit_Bloch The video that influenced David's career choice: https://youtu.be/Ahf2B_eZUc4
