Giulio Bonazzi (Aquafil) on the importance of recycling

Season 1, Ep. 41

Giulio Bonazzi is the CEO of Aquafil, a leading Italian producer of Nylon materials. Guilio has longstanding experience from the fashion industry and is known for spearheading ECONYL®, a recycled nylon made from industrial plastic, waste fabric, and fishing nets.

In this conversation, Giulio talks about:

— Why it is so complex to recycle clothing.

— Why recycling should be the last resort after reuse and restoration.

— How better legislation, education and eco-design is vital moving forward.

— How the next decade is the most crucial ever for our planet.

This conversation was originally part of Fashion Futures Live, an event from Fashion Innovation.
