The Saturday Quiz

You're a Gumbo with Michael Williams and Erik Jensen

Season 5, Ep. 30

If you're a reader or listener of any of the Schwartz Media publications, you're sure to have encountered Erik Jensen and Michael Williams. Erik is the Editor in Chief at Schwartz and Michael is the Editor of The Monthly magazine, as well as hosting the podcast Read This. They're both intimidatingly intelligent, so it's no surprise that they do very well at the quiz on this episode.

Apologies for some of the sound issues on this episode - my microphone seems to have been playing up.

My thanks as ever to Cindy MacDonald for writing the questions in the quiz. Play along at home by going to https://www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/ where you can find every quiz from the paper all the way back to issue number one.

This podcast is recorded on the lands belonging to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I pay my respects to their elders past and present and acknowledge their traditions of sharing knowledge and stories for millennia on this land.

Matilda plays Jess, a junior producer on the show. She wants to orchestrate Nia’s every move to secure a win for both of them. But who is controlling who? • 28. JKS with Tom Ballard

    43:44||Season 6, Ep. 28
    A person of prominence is dead. Immediately, the question raised is “what are you allowed to say about this person?” Specifically, how far are you allowed to go with any “jokes” about them? And what, if any, should the repercusions be if you go too far?No, don’t worry, I haven’t used the week off to rebrand as a right-wing conservative podcaster. I’m not even actually referencing current events. The above is actually the premise of "JKS: a comedy(?)" a new play premiering at the upcoming Melbourne Fringe Festival, written by and starring Tom Ballard.Thanks as always to Cindy MacDonald for writing the questions.I make this podcast on the lands belonging to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and pay our respect to their elders past and present, while acknowledging their traditions of sharing knowledge and stories for millennia on this land.Get tickets to Jks: a comedy(?) here:https://www.melbournefringe.com.au/whats-on/events/jks-a-comedy
