How one can approach writing

Season 3, Ep. 6

Welcome to the podcast:

Warning: While this episode is about writing, specifically how one may approach words and being meaningful about them, it takes place in the subject of a spiritual book. The book is written by Anthony Bloom called Beginning to Pray. The point of this is not to teach anything, or preach, nor am I encouraging spiritual interpretation. I am simply looking at the words he says and trying to apply it to other areas of my life. Please do not take this to a spiritual level or interpret it in such a way. With that said:

In this episode:

-Writing gushing out of our souls

-Mimickry and the daily practice

Note:

I am not calling prayer that doesn't gush out of your souls, a daily practice. I just felt it was similar in some aspects.

This episode will probably one of very few spiritual episodes and probably won't occur again. As something I wanted to share, not being able to record a more story focused episode, I put out this so you guys wouldn't miss out on anything and hopefully would gain something.

The next episode, season 3 episode 7, should be out by Saturday, and I hope this one serves you. Thank you.

  • 5. Pressure, Goals, and Being Present

    14:17||Season 3, Ep. 5
    Welcome to the podcast.Along the journey we grow. We grow by putting in the work. The work, sometimes causes a result. But how much do we try to change that result, if we don't like it? How do we pressure ourselves to reach a result? Do we assume the future? How do you follow something while being present?In this episode I talk about:-The pressure I've put on myself-The morality of goals and planning-Approaching being presentI hope those questions, got a perspective and maybe helped you. • 4. A reminder about being multifaceted

    15:35||Season 3, Ep. 4
    Welcome to the podcast:In this episode I talk about-Being multifaceted-Why the basics have so much depth-My need for exceptionsWhat this podcast is moving towards:I find that whenever I announce the direction I want to go, it doesn't happen but, I'm almost tired of doing raw thoughts. I really want to change it up and make this professional (when I say amateur in the episode, I mean that towards the expectation towards the analytics and diminishing that) and different.This is a podcast, really for beginners, after all I don't think there are too many "experts at life." Here I'm going to explore the basic lessons in story, both produced and raw, with occasionally a raw thought on mindset or storytelling. If you want a fancier version of all of this read the podcast description.I don't want to do interview, because there are so many interview podcasts, and I don't want to bring anything new to that, after all there's not much innovation in my lens to do there, but in someone else's there may be.Storytelling doesn't have to mean Gimlet, NPR, Hardcore History or Wondery, for episodes, but it can.Thank you for listening to this episode.
  • 3. Is it morally right to bury themes?

    09:41||Season 3, Ep. 3
    Hey! Welcome to this episode of some scattered thoughts on art and themes.In this episode, the morality of burying the themes, in tone and metaphors, and revising art is pondered.The Show WebsiteThis Episode (click here for other platforms)Note:When I say I don't think any of us creates, that comes from my foundation in how I view things and faith. I'm not trying to offend artists, storytellers, etc. but if you look at the ideas and content and stories that's come out, you can't say it was a one man show. It's influenced by so many people from the beginning, that because of my perspective, I don't think I, at this moment (2/13/2021) can call myself a creator, but maybe some do, so forgive me for forcing that belief on you. That's just my outlook.Thank you for taking the time to listen to this episode.
