    Daniel Lloyd was an average farmer and father till the early hours of Saturday August 12 2017. This is when Daniel received the call that his daughter Sarah had been killed in a motor vehicle accident. Sarah was only 19 at the time. Together with wife Tracy, they have dedicated their lives to carry on the legacy of their middle child. Through their hardship they started the Sarah Lloyd scholarship which gives grants to New South Wales women practicing in non-traditional trades. The Springs has operated for over 150 years as a sheep shearing station and cattle stud, throughout its history they've had their fair share of ups and downs and more recently the struggle of drought. Many properties face difficulties both financially and through workload, during these tough times but it's ultimately the banding together of a community that helps rural farmers make it through.
