The Real Deal with James

Triple 7 Studio presents their classic rendition of the 1970’s “The WIZ”. Celebrity choreographer Tamara Whitehead gears up with a celebrity cast which includes a host of Broadway and award winning dance professionals. Triple 7 has crafted and created their version of the 1978 classic which was produced by Rob Cohen and started some of the biggest names in the business given their take of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”.

Tamara’s professional career in dance expands over 25 years where she has had the opportunity to be a lead creative coordinator and stage director to entertainment industries chart topping artists. Ms. Whitehead has also performed with MTV and BET networks throughout the years. She has been the artistic director to several dance companies before launching her own studio in 2002 in Atlanta, GA.

Triple 7’s production of “The WIZ” gives light to several emerging young talented entertainers who are no strangers to Broadway productions as well as several seasoned dancers and performers whose accolades resonates throughout the performing industry. The star studded cast is made up of Carle Atwater as The WIZ, Destiny Sutton & Destiny Cox as Dorthy, Cyntelia Abrams as Baddie Pearl, Candis Daniella as Elevine, Talia Evans as Scarecrow, Denise Keaton as the Lion, Candis Osborne as Evillene , Tameka Ruger as Adda Pearl , Sherry Lewis as Aunt Em, Janis Tucker as Glinda and Taylor Rose as Tin Girl. 

The WIZ will debut at Gas South Theater during the MLK weekend with 2 shows daily starting January 15th & 16th at 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm.
