Close Proximity | Bishop T.D. Jakes

Season 1, Ep. 3

What if what you’ve been chasing isn’t the promise, but the presence?

In this awakening word from Exodus 33:18-23, Bishop T.D. Jakes walks us through the sacred conversation between Moses and God. It’s not just about miracles, laws, or leadership — it’s about proximity. Moses pleads, “Show me Your glory,” not for blessings, but for closeness. He doesn’t want the promised land without the Lord. And neither should we.

You have survived what should have consumed you. Bishop Jakes says that is your sign. The bush is still burning, and you’re still standing. Why? Because God has had His hand on you all along, even before you recognized it.

This message calls us out of covenant with religious routine and idols and into real intimacy. Into the cleft of the Rock — Jesus — where God promises, “There is a place beside me.” There is a covering. A glory that will not just carry you but transform you.

Watch the full sermon and revisit until your soul cries out: SHOW ME YOUR GLORY!

Because without God, we have nothing at all.

Message: “Close Proximity”

Scripture: Exodus 33:18-23 (KJV)

Speaker: Bishop T.D. Jakes

  • 106. Trust What You See - Sarah Jakes Roberts

    01:11:55||Season 1, Ep. 106
    Your identity in God is everything. When you don’t know who you are in Him, the world will define you for you.  Sarah Jakes Roberts reveals how Jesus transformed the woman caught in adultery in John 8. He didn’t just remove her shame — he evened the playing field and helped her see her new reality. She was no longer under threat. But before she could step forward, she had to come into agreement with what was true.  The enemy plants seeds to keep us self-conscious and paralyzed. Jesus uproots those seeds to empower us. Yes, it can feel like exposure. But His intention has always been to set you free.  Then Sarah shows us Elisha’s secret in 2 Kings 6. He knew who he was in God. He didn’t question whether God would show up in crisis. He trusted God’s strategy completely, and he even prayed for others to see what God sees.  This is the powerful transformation that happens as we mature spiritually. We move from self-consciousness to kingdom impact, from wondering if God shows up to knowing He already has.  Message: “Trust What You See”  Scripture:  2 Kings 6:16-22 (NKJV) Speaker: Sarah Jakes Roberts  Date: Aug. 30, 2026  ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone. • 104. Take Another Look - Sarah Jakes Roberts

    01:20:10||Season 1, Ep. 104
    What has our attention determines what we reflect.  In “Take Another Look,” Sarah Jakes Roberts reminds us that being made in God’s image isn’t just about who we are — it’s about what we reflect. Shame, fear, trauma, and failure can shift our focus, but they don’t change who God says we are.  When we turn our attention back to God and behold who He is, He transforms how we see ourselves, how we show up, and how we live out what He has called us to do.  This message encourages you to take another look at who God is — and who He says you are.  Message: “Take Another Look”  Scripture: Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV) Speaker: Sarah Jakes Roberts Date: Aug. 23, 2026  ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone. • 103. Walk It Out Wednesday: The Breaking Before the Blessing - Pastoral Panel

    01:29:45||Season 1, Ep. 103
    The wilderness isn’t your permanent address. It’s your classroom.  The Israelites spent 40 years in the wilderness, but God never abandoned them. He used that season to develop their trust, change their mindset, and prepare them for the Promised Land.  This panel gets real about worry, trauma, identity, pride, provision, and the danger of getting comfortable in places God never intended to be permanent.  If you’re in a wilderness season, remember: God is still leading you. Keep trusting. Keep growing. Keep walking it out.  Watch this Walk It Out Wednesday conversation and discover what God is doing in seasons that feel uncertain, uncomfortable, and longer than expected.   Message: “Walk It Out Wednesday: The Breaking Before the Blessing” Speakers: Pastor Venshard Dobbins, Pastor Don Johnson, and Dr. Oscar Williams Scripture: Deuteronomy 8:1-16 (NKJV) Date: Aug. 19, 2026   ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone. • 102. The Breaking Before the Blessing - Touré Roberts

    01:21:19||Season 1, Ep. 102
    Your breaking is not punishment. It’s preparation.  Touré Roberts discusses what God is doing in Israel’s wilderness wanderings in Deuteronomy Chapter 8. They think they are being punished, but what they don’t understand is that the wilderness is a place of development. God is teaching them humility, building dependence, and preparing them for something they’ve never experienced.  What does your wilderness look like? When God humbles you, He’s protecting you from pride. When He causes you to hunger, He’s repositioning your appetite from stuff to substance.  This message helps you discover what God is building in your breaking season and reaffirms that trusting God is the admission price for your blessing.   Message: “The Breaking Before the Blessing” Scripture:  Deuteronomy 8:1-16 (NKJV) Speaker: Touré Roberts Date: Aug. 16, 2026  ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone. • 101. Walk It Out Wednesday: The Same, But Different - Pastoral Panel

    01:35:01||Season 1, Ep. 101
    What happens when fear locks you out of the life God has called you to live?  This week’s Walk It Out Wednesday takes you deeper into Sarah Jakes Roberts’ message, “The Same, But Different,” exploring what it means to trust God when fear, grief, and uncertainty shake your faith.  Jesus meets you in locked rooms, speaks peace into your fear, and reminds you of what His hands have already brought you through. And sometimes, your scars are the very testimony someone else needs to believe God can bring them through, too.  In this intimate time of conversation, reflection, and prayer, you’ll be reminded: Fear may be part of your journey, but it doesn’t have to have the final word.  Message: “Walk It Out Wednesday: The Same, But Different” Speakers: Pastor Venshard Dobbins, Pastor Cora Jakes, Pastor Don Johnson, Dr. Val, and Dr. Oscar Williams Scripture: John 20:17-23 (NKJV) Date: Aug. 12, 2026  ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone. • 100. The Same, But Different - Sarah Jakes Roberts

    01:16:57||Season 1, Ep. 100
    What if the chaos you’re facing isn’t the end of your story but the backdrop for what God is creating next?  “The Same, But Different” draws from John 20, where Jesus meets His disciples in the middle of their fear and chaos, speaks peace, and breathes new life into them. Their circumstances hadn’t changed, but they were about to.  Through her own testimony of surviving a life-threatening season, Sarah Jakes Roberts reminds us that God doesn’t always remove the chaos or give us the answer. Sometimes, He gives us His presence — and that is enough.  The same hands that carried you before are still at work. The same Jesus who met you in your last storm is in the room with you now.  Message: “The Same, But Different”  Scripture: John 20:17-23 (NKJV) Speaker: Sarah Jakes Roberts Date: Aug. 9, 2026  ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone. • 99. Walk It Out Wednesday: A Post Moving Praise

    01:05:05||Season 1, Ep. 99
    During this intimate worship night, we truly walk out the message from Sunday’s sermon with our own post-moving praise service. What takes place is a powerful display of what revival truly means. Through worship and prophetic speaking, we learn that revival should be the natural rhythm of a life surrendered to God.  The message is clear: Something has to break before God can revive it. God is tearing down the idols we’ve fractured, broken, and rebuilt, and He’s inviting us to leave them down. If we want to rejoice in His salvation, we must stop rebuilding what God has torn down.   Revival comes when we finally surrender.   Message: “Walk It Out Wednesday: A Post Moving Praise” Speakers: Pastor Venshard Dobbins, Pastor Don Johnson, Dr. Val, and Dr. Oscar Williams Scripture: Isaiah 6:1-4 (KJV) Date: Aug. 5, 2026  ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone. • 98. A Post Moving Praise - Pastor Sheryl Brady

    01:02:17||Season 1, Ep. 98
    Your voice, your cry, your worship — they have the ability to move the hand of God.  Pastor Sheryl Brady reminds us that worship isn’t passive. When singers and dancers preceded Israel into battle in the Old Testament, their enemies weren’t frightened by their talent. They trembled because of the manifested presence of God that worship stirs up.  Yet, we often burden our worship leaders and teams to carry what should come from within us. Our thirst for righteousness dictates our worship. Jesus paid a debt we couldn't pay. That alone is worth contending for.  This is the season to stop loving God from a distance. Contend for His presence. Cry out for His glory. Watch what happens when His presence enters a room. Worship transports us from one dimension into another. It invites heaven into earth and changes circumstances.  We can't survive without Him. The sooner we abandon comfort and embrace this truth, the sooner our praise will follow.  Message: “A Post Moving Praise” Scripture:  Habakkuk 2:14 (KJV), Isaiah 6:1-4 (KJV) Speaker: Pastor Sheryl Brady Date: Aug. 2, 2026  ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don’t have to walk this journey alone.
