They are Mescalero Apache, Chiricahua Apache, and Diné (Navajo) of the 'Áshįįhí (Salt Clan) born for the Kinyaa'áanii (Towering House Clan). Apache has been awarded the Betty Berzon Emerging Writer Award and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Apache is a long time advocate for the Native LGBTQI / 'two spirit' identity.
