Past pupil Cillian Murphy is on a winning streak following the huge success of Oppenheimer having won a golden globe, he's now nominated for an Oscar, Bafta and SAG. We are absolutely thrilled with all his accolades and wish him all the best in bringing the gold home. Principal David Barry and Cillian's former teacher Mr. Wall spoke on Cork's RedFM following the good news. Former Taoiseach, Pres teacher & our current Tánaiste Micheál Martin made a very special visit to the school recently & sat down to talk about his current role & the important role the subject of history plays in society & as a school subject. We've a star studded line up this episode with a literary theme at the heart. This episode is inspired by poet Liam Lynch, a Kerryman from whose passion for poetry ignited after he went blind at a very young age. Through poetry he began to understand the true feelings within his soul & mind as he began to adapt to a new world. The TY's carried out a Poetry For The Blind Project in honour of Liam, so what better way to hear some poetry from some very famous voices on their favourite poems.
