Jim: Millie's Dad

Season 1, Ep. 1

In this episode Ben meets Jim, who's Dad to three year old Millie.

Jim and his wife Louise were on holiday in Norfolk when Millie decided it was time to arrive - seven weeks before her due date. She was in NICU where the consultant suggested a blood test for Down syndrome which was confirmed a couple of days later.

Jim admits that before Millie arrived, having a child with a disability "was probably one of the worst things I could think of happening". In this conversation, he talks about how his perception of having a child with additional needs has completely changed and about the fabulous bond he has with his daughter.
