Circus Maximus - WEC Barcelona

Season 2, Ep. 42
•

This week we dip back into supercars and discuss the 6 hours of Barcelona in WEC and the GT World Challenge Europe race at Portimao. As per usual, we couldn’t follow all the strategy, but still enjoyed the racing nevertheless. Max Verstappen increased the viewership of GTWC by a factor of 30, leading to idiot ignorant F1 fans arguing with idiot gatekeeping GT fans. In WEC, despite Genesis getting their first ever hyperpole, it was Toyota that dominated, despite having to plead with de Vries over the radio to not do anything crazy.

  • 41. Dutch Lion City - F1 Singapore

    51:42||Season 2, Ep. 41
    This week we cover the F1 races in Singapore. That’s races plural, as for some reason it’s a sprint race weekend, despite the notorious lack of overtaking at the Marina Bay Circuit. Still we got to see plenty of classic Singapore moments: Russell hitting the wall, Ferrari strategic blunders, and Lando crashing into Piastri. • 40. Rough Patch - F1 Bahrain (Malaysia)

    42:13||Season 2, Ep. 40
    This week we cover the Formula 1 Bahrain GP race in Sepang, Malaysia, where we got to see how much damage some rain could do to a billion dollar sport. Firstly, the FIA engine software stop the cars from accelerating on the formation lap and then half the grid gambles incorrectly on slick tyres. Still it leads to a fun race featuring many patches: software (from the FIA to the cars), purple (for Max’s recent form), bald (Gasly), and rocky (for George’s title hopes). • 39. The Curse of Baku - F1 Baku

    52:26||Season 2, Ep. 39
    This week we cover the Formula 1 race in Baku, where the wheels literally and figuratively came off for Antonelli, but could Russell actually capitalize this time? Kimi wasn’t the only one to mess up as Pirelli apparently replaced the soft tyres with hards and Colapinto decided to create a diplomatic incident. In F2, Rodin finally got their car setup right as Dunne and Stenshorne shut out the front row in both feature races. While, in the championship battle, Dunne and Tsolov fought their toughest opponent; not Câmara, but the pit entry line. • 38. Indycar 2026 Season Review

    57:05||Season 2, Ep. 38
    This week the review and recap the 2026 Indycar season. Looking back, we can see a few phrases kept cropping up: “Malukas comes second again”, “Rahal’s somehow in third again”, “Sting Ray’s in the way again”, and “how has Palou got away with it again”. Despite not being quite as dominant as last year and making a few more mistakes than last year, Palou just kept extending his lead as his rivals would step up one week and fall away the next. We try to say something about each race, before rating each driver’s season as good, bad, or mid, which was sometimes difficult as we had completely forgotten a few drivers were even in the series this year. • 37. La Monumental Disapointment - F1 Spain

    01:04:12||Season 2, Ep. 37
    This week we cover the F1 Spanish GP taking place at the new Madring circuit, which somehow managed to make the, usually fun and chaotic, F2 and F3 races boring. In the absence of any actual on-track overtaking, we search for what entertainment we can find in a processional race. We do discover Emma’s true calling in life though, which is telling George Russell and Zak Brown to shut up.  The new track does mix up the order in F2 as Hitech and DAMS are surprisingly fast, while both championship contenders, Camara and Tsolev, struggle to win points. We also check in on the final standings in F3 and FREC.Music provided by Sascha Ende under the CC BY 4.0 license: https://filmmusic.io/standard-license
  • 36. Espresso Scotty Macchiato - F1 Monza Indycar Laguna Seca

    01:07:22||Season 2, Ep. 36
    This week we cover the F1 race in Monza and the Indycar finale at Laguna Seca. In F1, Kimi Antonelli obviously had his morning Espresso as he went from the back  to the front to challenge George Rus-tretto for the win. It was a great weekend for the French Press as Alpine took a surprising pole, while, at their home race, Ferrari did not deliver and instead we saw a Cold war Brewing. In Indycar, Alex Pour-over had already wrapped up the championship but Kyle Keurig-wood, Christian Lungo-ard, and Podo O’Ward were still fighting for the runner up spot. Finally, in F2, it was a bad couple of days for Americano Colton Herta, but in the championship battle, Rafael Crema closed the gap to leader Nikola Solo. Music provided by Sascha Ende under the CC BY 4.0 license: https://filmmusic.io/standard-license
  • 35. Rain Rain Go to Spain - Indycar Milwaukee

    51:50||Season 2, Ep. 35
    This week we cover the two Indycar races in Milwaukee, as Palou looks to wrap up the championship. Despite rain causing significant disruption to the weekend, the Milwaukee Mile delivers some fun races with every round of pit stops seemingly shuffling the pack a little. The only real constant being Rahal and Siegel getting in the way. After Honda comfortably win the manufacturers championship, they take their foot off the gas as Chevy somehow dominates in both races. Penske and McLaren emerge as the most likely winners, but whoever wins, we hope they don’t celebrate with a Gatorade dunk. Music provided by Sascha Ende under the CC BY 4.0 license: https://filmmusic.io/standard-license
  • 34. Stroopwafels and Donuts - F1 Zandvoort Indycar Freedom 250

    01:19:19||Season 2, Ep. 34
    This week we cover the return of F1 in Zandvoort following the summer break and the Freedom 250 on the streets of Washington DC in Indycar. Changeable weather conditions led to an apparently nervous Lando Norris defenestrating himself pre-race to reach the track, although more likely it was just to avoid Craig Slater. We also learnt that Max Verstappen signed a new 3 year deal with Red Bull this week which apparently included the option to watch the race from the pitlane if he so wishes. In Indycar, while there were ELMS and IMSA races this weekend, the real endurance racing was to be found in DC, as the length of the race was exhausting. There was no doubt that only an American racer would be allowed to win. So, the only question was which one of the eight American-born drivers would it be (although not even the Deep State could manufacture a Sting-Ray Robb victory).Music provided by Sascha Ende under the CC BY 4.0 license: https://filmmusic.io/standard-license
