8. A God-Centered God
10:24||Season 1, Ep. 8Just because we might think we are autonomous persons doesn’t mean God won’t intervene in our lives and use us for His purpose. In this episode, we will briefly discuss a man named Cyrus whom God commissioned, without Cyrus’s knowledge, to help Israel. The question is, why? Well, it comes down to God’s focus on God’s glory - we will talk about that as well.BibliographyRigney, Joe. “Why God Does Everything He Does.” Desiring God (blog). New Promotional Episode of The Onesimus Collective
01:53||Season 1Hello, this is Harrison Wilson from “The Onesimus Collective.” If you are listening to this new promotional message for the podcast - thank you. If you have heard the original promotional message - thank you as well. However, the original message has been removed, since I now have my bearings about how this podcast is to function going forward. In all honesty, the podcast episodes will be often about what is on my heart. I am a licensed preacher who holds a bachelor's degree in Biblical and Theological Studies as well as a master's in Christian Apologetics, so, this podcast is as much a calling from God as any other form of ministry. I do want to ensure everyone feels welcome, and I hope continued listening to the episodes of “The Onesimus Collective” will work to bring a positive change to everyone. I do encourage input from those who are listening. Tell me what you would like to hear on the podcast, and I will prayerfully consider every request. With that being said, I refuse to squabble over those things that only generate questions with no edification to God or His Word as per 1 Timothy 1:4. There are as many ideas about whom, or what, God is as there are people in the world, and I as the podcast host will have to determine what is presented. I don’t plan to drone on with episode after episode of Scripture discussions, but there will be some of those types of episodes. As per the Bonus Episode for Monday, January 22, 2024, and Episode 3: Christmas in January, I will have other similar episodes that are more for entertainment but will always, in every episode, point the listener to the God of the universe. It is my prayer that this podcast will be a help and a source of encouragement for many as it moves forward. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hwilson106/message
