Veteran Sues Sheriff's Office for Discrimination

A Bergen County sheriffs officer, Joseph Campolattaro, a disabled Air Force veteran, is suing his employer for discrimination and retaliation after being fired due to a mental health crisis. Despite being reinstated by the state Civil Service Commission, Campolattaro alleges he has been isolated, marginalized, and denied his full benefits. The sheriffs office, led by Sheriff Anthony Cureton, Chief Carmelo Giustra, and Captain Tashara Windley, is accused of delaying his fitness-for-duty clearance, stalling his license renewal, and assigning him to a civilian role without back pay or lost vacation time. Campolattaro also claims years of harassment from Captain Windley and losing health insurance after a van accident, exacerbating his mental health issues. Checkout Solipillow.com
