Florida Couple Arrested for Credit Card Scam, Ripping Off New Jersey Residents for $22K - A couple from Florida, a 24-year-old woman from West Park and a 29-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale, have been arrested for a credit card scam that targeted New Jersey residents, resulting in over $22,000 in losses. The pair posed as bank security representatives, tricking victims into providing personal information and draining their accounts. They used a cellphone app to make the calls appear legitimate. At least fourteen victims have been identified, and the couple is facing third-degree charges of credit card fraud, theft, and conspiracy. They were arrested during a traffic stop in Pennsylvania, where they had stacks of cash, gift cards, phones, and a laptop in their rental car.
