    In this edition of THE MUSIC SHOW I'd like to share with you an interview I conducted in 1981 with American singer/songwriter Rodriguez.Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1942, Rodriguez recorded two albums in the early 1970's, "Cold Fact" and "Coming From Reality", neither of them finding an audience in the US. But they did become extremely popular here in Australia, and Rodriguez toured here in 1979 and 1981, appearing at the Tanelorn Festival in NSW alongside Midnight Oil, Split Enz and Men at Work. He virtually disappeared after that, until 2012 when his story was told in the Academy Award-winning documentary "Searching for Sugar Man".
