Life At The Midpoint with Gabby Logan
Clodagh McKenna: Finding Your Own Path, Food and the Importance of Change
How do you know when it's time to change direction, and how do you find the confidence to start again? This week, Gabby is joined by chef, broadcaster and entrepreneur Clodagh McKenna for a conversation about family, food, relationships and the different paths life can take.
Clodagh looks back on growing up in Ireland and the influence of her mother, whose independence and determination inspired her from an early age. She talks about finding her way into the world of food, her time living in Italy and opening three restaurants in Dublin. After eight years running them, she realised she had lost some of the connection with food that had started it all, and made the decision to take a step back and move to London.
She also talks about finding love later in life and her marriage to Harry, sharing why she believes it's important to be happy and comfortable in yourself, whether you're in a relationship or not. And a look into her life at Broadspear Farm, her love of entertaining and why food has always been about so much more than what's on the plate. She brings some of this into her new book, Clodagh at Home, available to buy now.
