Previously on Christine Lahti in Space: Dr Christine Lahti prepares for her first date with space janitor Orion (special guest star Benjamin Bratt) who, thanks to The Boss, no longer has a budget for clothing and must go through life completely naked. While admiring the view, Dr Lahti is surprised to discover Orion’s great singing voice, specifically noting his impressive belt. But, unbeknownst to Dr Lahti, Orion stole this gift from ex-girlfriend, and hospital gift shop employee Elaine (special guest star Jane Krakowski). Having refused to move home Pencil (Daphne Zuniga) gets a visit from her mother the Space Queen (extra special guest star Linda Lavin).
