The best bits, and some of the worst, of my 2022 in non-league football. Part 1.

Since that decision to go to Bideford in October 2021, I have been to 30 grounds. I am not a groundhopper. Here is a quick take, an anecdote, a view on each of them. I hope there is something for everyone, or it could just be widely ignored.

Catching up on nearly three months of non-league football, with a house move in between. How Phoenix have got on, what has happened to Holsworthy (in brief), the Hampshire/Wiltshire football scene I have moved to, a little update on Cray Valley Paper Mills, and for me, a classic Christmas Millwall Misery Memory involving a car breakdown, a night outside Newton-le-Willows and, well.... just listen.

Phoenix in action in the FA Cup and FA Vase, Holsworthy endure a torrid slump, conceding goals, a misery moment that Ryan would have been happy with, if he was old enough to remember, looking forward to the next round of the cup, and a late update on the Phoenix loss to Erith & Belvedere in a league game tonight.
