Among the survivors was Russ Warriner, a seaman on the USS Arizona, who was thrown from the ship and rescued. Remarkably, he and his brother were the only pair of brothers to survive the sinking. Today, Ed Miklavcic, one of the oldest living survivors, was honored for his service. The attack marked a turning point in American history, leading to the countrys involvement in the war and shaping the world as we know it.
