Impaired Boat Captain Kills Passenger, Faces Charges

58-year-old Kevin John King faces trial for voluntary manslaughter and operating a vessel under the influence, after his boat crashed into a jetty last year, killing one and injuring others. Despite his attorneys claim that his high blood alcohol level was due to blood loss, the judge ruled there was enough evidence for trial. Witnesses testified that King was driving and had been drinking, while Kings attorney suggested he might not have been at the controls at the time of impact. The community has been deeply affected by the tragedy.
