UK Makes Changes to medical examiner and death certificate processes

Season 1, Ep. 8010

In England and Wales, the UK implemented significant changes to the death certification process in September 2024. These changes mandate that all deaths, except those investigated by a coroner, must undergo an independent review by a medical examiner. This review ensures the accuracy of the cause of death and provides families with an opportunity to address any concerns.
