The European Union's top diplomat expressed frustration over the bloc's inability to curb Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's controversial policies, particularly regarding the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. Speaking at a press conference in Brussels, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, lamented the EU's failure to "stop" Netanyahu from escalating tensions in the region.

Borrell's remarks come amid heightened violence in the West Bank and Gaza, with recent military operations leading to significant casualties on both sides. The EU's chief diplomat criticized Netanyahu's government for its continued settlement expansion, military raids, and what he described as a disregard for international law and human rights.
