Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton Release Country Take on ‘Please Please Please’ — with Video Nod to Ex Barry Keoghan

Season 1, Ep. 5980

Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton are joining forces!

On Friday, Feb. 14, the singer, 25, released a collaborative rendition of her 2024 song “Please Please Please” for the new deluxe edition of her album Short n’ Sweet, which also dropped on Valentine's Day.

Teaming up with Parton, 79, for the duet, the musicians put a country twist on the pop track and filmed a vintage-inspired music video that appears to have a not-so-subtle nod to Carpenter's ex, actor Barry Keoghan.

Keoghan, 32, famously featured in the original music video for "Please Please Please" while the pair were dating. The video sees the former couple start a relationship after being released from jail, but after Keoghan returns to his criminal ways and is arrested again, Carpenter takes matters into her own hands by handcuffing him to a chair and taping his mouth shut before planting a kiss on his lips and abandoning him in an empty warehouse.
