Novo Nordisk, the Danish pharmaceutical giant known for its pioneering treatments in diabetes and other serious chronic diseases, announced plans to invest $220 million in constructing a state-of-the-art raw materials plant in Denmark. This significant expansion aims to strengthen the company’s supply chain and ensure the continuous production of essential ingredients for its life-saving medications.

The new facility will be located in Kalundborg, where Novo Nordisk already operates one of the world’s largest insulin production sites. The plant is expected to be fully operational by 2027 and will focus on producing high-quality raw materials critical to the company’s extensive portfolio of biologics.
