Thalia Martin is one hell of a woman. After her dreams of tennis stardom were dashed by a recurring injury, she turned to golf- her second passion- which she found by accident after a long waiting time for a restaurant table..
At the older than most but still young, at the age of 20 with a respectable 5 handicap, she decided to see how far she could take her game and it led her all the way to the professional ranks. Where this season she has already accomplished two wins, one on the sunshine ladies tour and one on LETAS at the Maedef Golfs Ladies Open by Saidia Resorts. There she became the first player to win on this tour outside Europe!!
Life on tour has not been without its stuggles, at the back end of 2023 she lost her father to a long term health struggle… but just remarkably kept going, earnt her let card for 2024 and now this season she looks to get her full card back…. With of course her mother, caddy and best firend sitti always doing it alongside her… welcome to LETAS chat... Thalia Martin.
