My beautiful, intelligent, hilarious and endlessly curious friend Layla graced me with her presence on the pod. I SO appreciate her taking the time out to do this with me, as we have always bonded on food and she is so fun to talk to about it.

This is the beginning of my comfort food series, where I speak to my amazing friends about their favourite comfort foods they like to eat and/or cook. Today's episode is with my incomparable buddy, Amy.

This is a follow-up/slight detour to Dining While Espionaging. I stumbled upon a man called Borris Morros who was a double-agent for the Soviet Union and USA, as I was reading about notorious espionage restaurants during the Cold War. This episode dives into his very interesting life during the 20th century war.

I've always loved spy shows and films. I've equally been obsessed with the food that is displayed in this type of content. I want to know what spies eat, what their budgets are and how they end up choosing to go certain restaurants to execute their spy activity successfully. In this episode, I try to answer all my curiosities and go through what spies have been known to eat and where they have been documented to eat historically.

You would've had to be dead to have missed the Kendrick vs Drake beef, however, this podcast isn't necessarily about the metaphorical beef. It is about the actual beef, the food mentioned throughout the songs, the cultural impact on the restaurants discussed.
