Bennie Wylie Takes Over as UH Strength Coach

Bennie Wylie, a renowned strength coach with a track record of training 56 NFL draft picks, including 6 first-round selections, has been appointed as the new director of football strength and performance at the University of Houston. He takes over from the late Kurt Hester, who passed away in October 2025 at the age of 61 after a battle with melanoma.
