We have our first DCEU project of 2026 "Supergirl" directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock as the titular "Supergirl" and Eve Ridley as "Ruthie" A young girl who recruits Supergirl on her journey to avenge her father's death at the hands of our lead baddie, Krem of theYellow Hills played by Matthias Schoenaerts. With smaller roles for Jason Mamoa as "Lobo" & David Corenswet as "Superman". Its plot pulled almost entirely from Supergirl's most well known & praised storyline, Tom King's "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow". Word-of-mouth hasn't been strong citing it as "Bland & Lifeless" some even stating James Gunn's DCEU "May be in trouble" but is it truly that bad? Should we start to worry about the direction of another Live Action DC Universe?

Inspired by Emily Wilson's 2017 translation of the classic poem and with a star studded cast of, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, Lupita Nyong'o, Elliot Page and plenty more, including a very underrated performance from Hamish Patel. "The Odyssey" is a milestone in cinematic achievement, but how much of the ancient poem will Nolan change?
