The Health Class She Deserves
Sanity Over Ideology: True Holism & How It Can Set You Free with Nicole Lange
What's up ladies, welcome to class!
Today I'm joined by Nicole Lange to explore the intersection of women's health, fertility, and Chinese medicine. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Whether or not you plan on having kids, your fertility is a key indicator of your health. Optimal health and optimal fertility are one in the same.
Nicole talks about holism vs. faux holism, and I love the distinction here! The internet can be useful, but has gotten out of hand in many aspects. A good example is how we've redefined "holism" to mean something woo-woo, when in reality, it's using all of the modalities at your disposal to achieve true healing. More on that in class!
We also discuss cultural influences on women's health, the emotional aspects of fertility, and the need for individualized care. Nicole provides insights on navigating health in a complex world and the importance of understanding one's body and needs. Her useful nursery/kitchen/house/neighborhood analogy allows for powerful reflection on where we put most of our energy...and where we maybe need to reallocate.

As Esther explains in the episode, the thyroid is *complicated* and many people feel confused by it.Thankfully, we have Esther here to clear up the confusion! 42. Wealthy, Worthy Women: Unpacking the Intersection of Health & Wealth with Nancy Griffin
46:52||Ep. 42What's up ladies, welcome to class! This week we're welcoming wealth advisor and creator of Women, Worth, & Wellness, Nancy Griffin. What do net worth and self worth have to do with each other? That's one of the key messages that Nancy unpacks for us today: You are worthy, and if you believe in your self worth, your net worth with grow.Because when we know our worth, we won't settle for less. We'll demand what we deserve in all areas of life, not just financially. We'll be fully empowered women. As women, we are often raised to not be difficult, to "just be grateful for the opportunity" instead of negotiating what we deserve. And while I'm all for gratitude, we can be grateful for what we have while standing firm in what we are worth. That's why Nancy's message today is SO important.Another key part of our discussion is how health and wealth are intimately connected. If we prioritize health up front, it can be less of a financial burden over time. Also, if we have an optimal wealth plan, we will have contingencies in place that can save us a load of stress. We talk about practical steps for working with a trusted financial advisor, building an overall wealth plan, planning finances with a partner, shamelessly prioritizing ourselves, and so much more. No matter where you're at in life, this episode will offer you something invaluable for your overall health AND wealth.Enjoy!Find Nancy below:Women, Worth, & WellnessInstagramFacebookor email her at nancy@womenworthwellness.com

Because sex is a part of life, and pleasure is important! Sexual wellness is a part of your overall wellbeing, full stop. Many of us hold a lot of shame when it comes to intimacy. Or, at least, begins to end today....healing will likely take much longer than 24 hours. But you get the point.Dr. Z teaches us how to maximize our pleasure (sexually and non-sexually), how to have easier conversations with intimate partners, and how to have a better time with ourselves. 39. A Drug-Free Solution to Rewire Your Pain & Have Better Periods with Amy Gaston from OhmBody
56:31||Ep. 39What's up ladies, welcome to class! This week we're joined by Amy Gaston, VP of Strategic Growth at OhmBody.OhmBody is a wearable device that offers a drug-free solution to women suffering with heavy, painful, and emotionally turbulent cycles. The device uses neurostimulation, a fancy word for activating your nervous system in a way that targets pain and fosters relaxation.More specifically, OhmBody uses neurostimulation to target the trigeminal nerve and the vagus nerve. By doing so, we can promote healthier, easier menstrual cycles. This conversation is fantastic: Amy breaks down the science at OhmBody in a very digestible way. We discuss the origins of OhmBody, its whole body approach and the benefits it offers, the importance of having women in the room, how to support the nervous system, and education (or lack thereof) around the female body. We also open up into a broader conversation of women's health, particularly in tech spaces.Interested in trying OhmBody? Join class today to learn about her company, Asterisk, the new app they're building, how it can improve your conversations with your doctors, how it can forward women's health research, AND how your data is completely safe.Check out Veronica's work hereGetting on the waiting list for AstraVeronica's InstagramVeronica's LinkedIn
37. Womb Healing & the Powers of Psychedelic Plant Medicine with Leslie Draffin
01:06:40||Ep. 37What's up ladies, welcome to class! Today we are joined by Somatic Practitioner, Psychedelic Microdosing Guide, & Womb Mystic Leslie Draffin. We talk about sexual shame, generational trauma, religious influence, motherhood, and so much more, and how we can overcome traumas via somatic work, breathwork, and psylocibin work.Leslie realized she was living entirely in her head, which I think a lot of us high-performing women can relate to. She teaches us that when we pair breath and body work with small amounts of magic mushrooms, we can deepen the connection between mind and body and embrace true healing on a much more profound level.BUT, Leslie takes it even a step further, and teaches us that cyclical microdosing is the key to optimizing our feminine power. As we all know, the cycle impacts every aspect of our lives. Leslie knew this, and so she thought, why would psylocibin use be any different? Cycling (psycling, if you will) your microdosing frequency based on the phase you're in is what makes Leslie's approach so different from other methods on the market.Read more about Leslie's Cyclical Microdosing Method and download her free guide here.Download the FREE Cyclical Microdosing Method 5-Day Mini-CourseLeslie also hosts a podcast, The Light Within.
