The Finger Guns Podcast

Oh yeah, this is happening! Eighteen months later, Rossko is joined by Shut Up And Answer The Question's Sean Anthony to talk everything SEGA Dreamcast, reminiscing on the classic system from the 90's with the fondest of memories. The conversation ranges from the games (oh the games), the controller (oh the controller), the VMU's, the peripherals, the 56k modem and just how bloody ahead of its time the system was. Oh, it's good to look back! Join two old guys talk about the good ol' days. This week on the pod it's another bout of pure misery as Xbox announce more layoffs and studio closures (and studio merges), Sonic nearly lost itself to time because SEGA are stupid (which leads to a fun conversation as to where the blue blur is these days in gaming) and end on a bit of a high note with Bungie rebuilding Destiny 2 after the enormous fan outcry. Good news? Yay!Plus we talk about the GTA VI £350 merch pack that doesn't include the game. Incredible times, eh? In Game of the Week Josh talks about Kyle Thompson's metroidvania Well Dweller and the CaRPG Keep Driving, Miles talks about playing through Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker because he still can't talk about the game he's reviewing whilst Rossko gets confused talking about he feels about Wolverine. It's tough to share about video games sometimes guys. You're so lucky we put ourselves through this pain. SURPRISE!This week on the pod our good friend Ethan Lawrence joins Rossko, Kat and Miles to talk the weeks news including PlayStation breaking up with Hideo Kojima, Rossko getting rather excited about the two Nintendo Directs from the past few days and we get into the back end of Steam and find plenty of holes, with a bunch of achievements and game announcements getting leaked. In Game of the Week, Miles shocks everyone with his opinions on Promise Mascot Agency (seriously, we can't believe this nonsense), Kat also shares her wonderment for Promise Mascot Agency (seriously guys, it's so good...you need to check it out!) along with the gorgeous little indie Leafy Corner and Kat shares how she's getting on with Elden Ring, while Ethan and Rossko get very excited about Final Fantasy Resonance (along with Rossko chatting Hot Wheels Infinite Rush and Crazy Taxi: World Tour!)Oh and we talk AITA about a wedding on a private island. This week on the (admittedly longer than we expected) pod!Rossko, Miles and Kat get into the groove with Sony calling consumers who understand digital sales of games are just a license 'reasonable people'. We shout out the unreasonable ones. We also talk Resident Evil being too scary (so says Capcom?!), and our impressions of the Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look. Shiny. In Game of the Week Miles has been in a galaxy far, far away checking out Star Wars: Zero Company and can finally talk about The Blood of Dawnwalker, Kat has chilled out with Flintlock: Siege of Dawn and well, has found herself ten hours into Elden Ring and she isn't entirely sure how that happened. Oh, and Rossko jumped into the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta on Switch 2 to see how it's running on Nintendo's flagship handheld. And we have an AITA about a very sweet man who just wants to play video games with his partner. N'awww.Also, what kind of Dr is Kat, actually? We find out.Enjoy the episode!JOIN THE FINGER GUNS DISCORD DISCORD: https://discord.gg/EUkrzaCqWE'RE EVERYWHERE: https://linktr.ee/FingerGunsHey if you like our podcast why not leave us a review?! This week Rossko, Miles and Josh talk the weeks news including the Xbox Disc to Digital feature rolling out and what it really means for the consumer, along with the news that Dave Bautista will be taking over the role of Kratos in Amazon's God of War TV show. Is he the right choice? We get into it. Finally, Sony have, at last, responded to the backlash of their digital only future. Miles is cool with it, totally. Yeesh. In Game of the Week, Miles has been finally finishing the fight in Halo: Campaign Evolved, whilst Josh has been tearing through Tears of Metal. The gang then collectively talk about House House's wonderful Big Walk, and recommend it to every single person currently living on this planet. Video games! Also we review Spider-Man: Brand New Day and, oddly, Supergirl! Enjoy the pod.
