This play is already really starting to build momentum. It won the Eclipse Award, Phoebe Waller Bridge's Keep it Fringe Award and it was shortlisted for the LET Award. This darkly comic solo show interweaves spoken word theatre with Zambian oral storytelling traditions and explores coercive control, cultural identity and mental health.I absolutely loved speaking to Mwansa and Phiri. I found them both so inspiring and fun to talk to, as well as giving really insightful points about coercive relationships and the sensitivity they had to have when exploring dark topics within the rehearsal room.Book tickets here.
