Ep 21 - Fad Saoil Sauna Founder and Owner Steve Crosbie

Ep. 21

This week we sat down with Steve Crosbie, the Founder and Owner of Fad Saoil Sauna‘s in their location in Greystones Co. Wicklow.

I’m a regular customer of Fad Saoil and love sea swimming and having the sauna so close to the cove in Greystones. I bring friends and clients there and it’s an amazing way to catch up, have coaching sessions and enjoy the sea all year round.

In this conversation, we explore Steve’s entrepreneurial journey from professional rugby player to business owner. He describes the uphill struggle of being the first Commercial Sauna in Ireland and displays such passion around community-building, health and wellbeing and changing hearts and minds towards healthier living in Ireland.

I loved listening to Steve tell his story, and be witness to Dad expertly hold space and reflect on leadership, change-making and business ownership.

This episode marks an exciting milestone as Fad Saoil become our first sponsor of the podcast, a company that we’re excited to align ourselves with!

  • Ep 48 - Yoga School Owner, Mother and Fitness Instructor - Amèlia Valls

    01:05:31|
After spending 18 days doing my Yoga Teacher Training at Nydum this January in Spain, I was very fortunate to sit down with the founder and owner Amèlia Valls. Amèlia's journey as a teacher started 20 years ago, having been trained in Pilates, Fitness and Personal Training, working with a diverse range of people and communities. She has a degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences and has completed her 500 hrs Yoga Teacher Training at Kranti Yoga, Goa, India. Initially, it was to complement her field of work and studies, and has developed into a business training Yoga Teachers over the last number of years. In this conversation, we explore Amèlia's passion for teaching, the journey of founding her Yoga School and how she has learnt to balance running a business with motherhood. Amèlia shares the joy she gets from spreading the knowledge and wisdom of Yoga and mixing that with her passion for movement and the human anatomy. I loved learning more about her journey, especially after experiencing her teaching first-hand. We talk about incremental personal changes, fresh perspectives on old challenges and renewed vigour in approaching life. Through our work with people and companies, we're privileged to be able to sit with many different people, from all walks of life, generally through the prism of helping them in their business.
