If You’re Bereaved: The Five Stages of Grief (Kübler-Ross Model):

  1. Denial – “This can’t be happening”
  2. Anger – “Why me? This isn’t fair”
  3. Bargaining – “If only…”
  4. Depression – Sadness and withdrawal
  5. Acceptance – Coming to terms with reality

These stages aren’t linear. You may revisit or skip them. Knowing the model can help make sense of your experience.
