SMU Stuns UNC: Boopie Miller Shines as Mustangs Secure First Ranked Win Under Enfield
SMU pulled off a major upset, defeating twelfth-ranked North Carolina 97-83. Boopie Miller led the charge with 27 points and 12 assists, securing the Mustangs first victory over a ranked team under coach Andy Enfield. Corey Washington contributed 23 points, while B.J. SMU never trailed after halftime, with Washington scoring 9 of their first 11 points, including two crucial three-pointers. Miller, fresh off his second triple-double, shot 10-13 from the field, including a step-back three that sealed the victory. This marked SMUs last ranked win over Houston in February 2022.
