Man Pleads No Contest to Child Abuse Charges

Cedric Diequell-Stevens Moore, a man from Pontiac, has pleaded no contest to serious child abuse charges. The boy reportedly told investigators he was beaten with a belt and broom, choked until unconscious, and threatened with continued abuse. Moore is also accused of throwing his one-year-old brother into a crib and causing cigarette burns on the baby. Moore is currently in jail on a $100,000 bond, with sentencing scheduled for January 21, 2026.
