The Custodians

Michael Newton, creator of The Custodians, is the co-writer, co-producer, and audio engineer for the show. The Custodians began in college for Michael, when he and his friends would toss around ideas for comic books. One night, "Janitors fighting demons would be cool" was uttered, but then the idea was locked away in The Void for many years. Michael graduated with a degree in digital audio production, and spent time working in small studios and live sound gigs across Indiana. In 2022, he began working with So Gross Productions, who helped bring his audio drama vision to life.

Christian Foster (C.R.Foster), is the co-writer and co-producer of The Custodians and voices Sam for the show. For Christian, The Custodians began when he saw a post in the So Gross Productions discord, asking for help on writing a script idea. Jumping on the opportunity before anyone else could, he and Michael quickly bonded over the story, working diligently to bring the vision to life. “Just a dude making noise out my face hole in varying degrees” C.R.Foster 2025

Taylor Johnson is the voice actress for Vicky and Scarecrow in The Custodians. Her love for acting started in high school, when she discovered the behind-the-scenes magic of film. Taylor graduated with a degree in theatre in CSU Channel Islands and studied abroad in Kingston, London for a year. In 2021, she began her voice acting journey and finally joined the world of social media and found a wonderful community on TikTok, which led to joining So Gross Productions and The Custodians family.

Nels Gross is a voice actor, composer, and audio producer, and the founder of SoGross Productions. He began as a touring musician before shifting to composition, then expanded into voice work and audio storytelling. He launched SoGross with The Hellscape, a horror audio drama blending music, performance, and immersive sound. In The Custodians, he voices Grizz and composed the main theme, continuing his focus on character-driven stories and atmospheric sound.

Dane Petersen is a Texas-based voice actor known for his dynamic range and expressive performances across animation, video games, and audiobooks. He voices the Narrator in the The Custodians, bringing depth and grit to the show's supernatural world. His anime credits include Carlo in Delico’s Nursery and Gilnore in Demon Lord 2099. Dane’s narration work spans titles like Slug Train and The Weight of Living, showcasing his versatility and commanding presence behind the mic.

Jarret Griffis is a professional voice actor based in Austin, TX, known for his warm, expressive tone and versatile character work across video games, animation, audio dramas, and commercials. Whether delivering a nuanced narration, a character performance, or a brand voice, he approaches each project with creativity and a touch of fun. Speaking of fun, he certainly has plenty of it portraying the cunning and manipulative Bowler Hat Demon in The Custodians.

Josh Bliss is the voice actor for Grant. Born and raised in Michigan, his love for voices has been a part of his whole life, but it was his wife's encouragement to pursue acting as a career that changed his life. He connected with So Gross Productions through TikTok and when The Custodians was announced, he knew he just had to be a part of it in any way possible.

Talen Winchester is a versatile voice actor based in Utah. He plays Chris, aka Eugene, aka Hard Not Hard on The Custodians, where he brings an approach no other actor could! Whether it's a crazy accent, or saying "Hard Not Hard' for an entire script, Talen always gets the job done. You might have heard him in other projects such as The Lakes of the Moon or Seafoam.

Mat Mangum is a versatile voice talent with a background in music and IT, specializing in animation, narration, and commercial voiceover. Known for a warm, deep, resonant, and authoritative voice, Mat joins the cast as the mysterious John Threadgill. He is passionate about delivering clear, engaging, and inspiring performances. Molly Rock (she/her) is an Orlando based award-winning, multi-hyphenate storyteller with over 35 years of experience. She is a proud graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and has trained and worked with some of the best in the entertainment industry - both on the mic and off. It's been a treat to join so many of the talented friends she's made through the VO community of TikTok as the voice of Grant's mom in The Custodians!

Anthony Boley is a professional Voice Actor based out of the Dallas Fort-Worth area of Texas. He is known for providing youthful, bright, and dynamic characters throughout his experience, especially voicing young protagonistic or animal like characters. He voices Benji in the supernatural world of The Custodians, providing a not so grounded support to the main cast. Anthony continues to thrive in character work through Youtube, Spotify, and Steam. Just like Benji he strives to do his best in the voiceover world, learning and helping others even if it's a bit on the neurotic side.

Tegan Bourke is an Australian voice actor, audiobook narrator, producer and author, who enjoys telling stories and bringing them to life. D Casellian (Marianna Cross) is a voice actor and movement artist living in Southeast Michigan. For over a decade she was a performer and instructor of stage combat and aerial circus, proficient in whip cracking, archery, swordplay, fire arts, and generally getting her ass kicked.
