Supporting Each Other in Business With Laura Holmes

Season 3, Ep. 9

In this episode I sit down with Laura Holmes from Mindful Confidence to talk all about supporting each other in business. Laura and I 'met' through Instagram and since then we've acted as each others unofficial cheerleaders, often catching up every few months for a coffee to talk about all the ups and downs in our business.

So we decided to record a conversation talking about what it means to have someone else supporting you and how it can actually have a really positive impact on your own attitude in your business. Laura and I are both big encouragers of reaching out and connecting with people who understand what you're going through as a way to feel more confident and less alone.

  • 12. Being Productive with Anxiety with Daisy Martin from MyGreenCow

    35:30
Today on the podcast I have Daisy, a full time creative blogger also known as mygreencow. Daisy started her business when she was figuring out what she could do that didn't involve just following the path of going straight to Uni as well as having a career that wouldn't clash with her anxiety. After starting a jewellery business nad realising that she could do things her way in a way that would work for her Daisy has built her business to do just that and make money!I initially asked Daisy to be on my podcast around a year ago but at that time she politely declined and said 'yes but not yet'. But now we've sat down and recorded it and I wanted to talk about how she got to the place where she was ready to do something that was scary. I definitely think this episode will help anyone who struggles with fear and anxiety when trying to pursue their projects and dreams. • 10. Gaining the Confidence to Put Yourself Out There With Maddy Shine

    40:18
My guest today is Maddy Shine the QUEEN of being visible and putting yourself out there with confidence. We had such a great conversation about what it takes and what it means to show up and be productive. We talk about taking up the space we deserve in the business world as women and what stops us from showing up and taking that space. She also gives out some really practical tips to help you start putting yourself out there online without feeling really vulnerable. And of course we had a lot of fun. It was a really motivating inspiring conversation for me so I hope it does the same for you as you listen!Maddy's Links:Instagram @maddy.shineWebsite maddyshine.co.ukFollow me on Instagram @positivelyproductive.co and check out my website to find out how to work with me through mentoring. • 8. Solo Journaling Episode: Pushing Myself Out of My Comfort Zone

    15:30
This episode actually feels a little vulnerable to share - there was no transcript, or structure just 15 minutes of me oversharing and mulling over my feelings about pushing myself out of my comfort zone and making a big change in my life. I recently announced on Instagram that I handed my notice in to my job and got a new one to continue to support me and my business. But there are a lot of feelings to unpack around this big change. Whenever I have a lot to process I turn to journaling so this episode is kind of an audio version of that journaling. If you're facing a big decision or a big change I hope this episode helps you to process what you're going through. Getting out of your comfort zone is often terrifying but talking and reflecting will always help you to feel more in control of whatever's happening. If you've connected with this episode please let me know (it's always scary sharing something a little more vulnerable so kind words mean the world).Follow me on InstagramMore info about all my services on my websiteSign up to the Productivity Post
  • 7. Following your Own Path with Sasha from Cheeky Zebra

    45:51
In this episode I have a chat to Sasha from Cheeky Zebra all about what it was like straying form the path that had been set our for us after we realised that both of us had done law degrees and decided very quickly that it wasn’t for us and we wanted to do our own thing. We talk all about what led us to apply for law and the realisation that it just wasn’t for us as well as touching on that lovely comparison monster that rears its head when we’re around our peers who are in more secure stable jobs. Sasha is absolutely hilarious on Instagram and we had a great time recording and relating to each others experiences - I hope this conversation helps you feel less alone if you're also following a different path and finding it hard not to compare. Sasha’s links:Instagram: @cheekyzebradotcomWebsite: cheekyzebra.comFollow me on Instagram @positivelyproductive.co and check out my website to find out how to work with me through mentoring. • 6. Why Good Mindset Is Essential to Productivity With Kira the Bold

    38:47
This episode is such an inspiring one - Kira Matthews aka Kira the Bold is a confidence and manifestation coach who is also a JOY to talk to - she's so passionate and wonderful and supportive (she even gives me a big shout out within the episode which I promise I didn't ask her to do) we had such a great time recording this episode, it left us both feeling so energised and inspired and I know it'll do the same for you!I wanted to sit her down and talk to her about why self belief and confidence is so important to our ability to be productive and pursue the things we're passionate about. In the episode we talk all about our attitude to feeling stuck in jobs we didn't find 'fulfilling', how life is too short not to just GO for the things we want and we talk about how manifestation can encourage your progress. Enjoy and let us know what you thought of the discussion.
