185 - Spider-Noir Episode 7 to The Finale - Review
The end is in sight, and Adam and Kyle are back for the penultimate episode of their Spider‑Noir review series. As the web starts tightening around every major character, old loyalties are tested, secrets refuse to stay buried, and everyone seems to be looking for the same man.
With Silvermane ramping up his campaign for control of the city, the boys dive into shifting alliances, questionable decision-making, and a growing sense that the final showdown is getting closer by the minute. Meanwhile, Ben Riley finds himself at a crossroads, wrestling with responsibility, betrayal, and whether being a hero is actually worth the trouble.
The episode delivers some of the biggest action scenes of the series so far, finally giving Adam and Kyle more of the Spider‑Noir action they've been asking for. Between bar brawls, street fights, web-slinging chaos, and a few brilliantly awkward Nicolas Cage moments, there's plenty for the lads to get stuck into.
There are laughs, predictions, and more than a little frustration directed at certain characters, as the guys try to work out who can still be trusted and who might be heading for disaster in the finale.
With the stakes higher than ever and the finish line now in sight, this episode sets the stage perfectly for the final chapter. Action-packed, entertaining, and packed with momentum, it's one of the strongest entries in the series so far.

191. 191 - Airplane Etiquette to Ancient Recipes
31:54||Ep. 191Captain Adam and co-pilot Kyle take the mic for a full pre-flight briefing on how to behave at 30,000 feet. It starts with peanut allergies, and a questionable detour into whether Darwin got it wrong, before hitting the big one: reclining your seat. Adam still hasn't forgiven the woman on his Maldives honeymoon flight, and he has plenty to say about it.From there it's dress codes (pyjamas on planes, pyjamas in Asda, pyjamas being tried on in the aisle), how much drinking is too much, and whether anyone has ever genuinely declared anything at customs. The duty-free myth gets dismantled too, complete with rigorous Toblerone price analysis and a theory about your boarding-pass scan tracking your alcohol intake. It all ends where nobody expected: Komodo dragon eggs, a recipe for dragon's breath pickled eggs, and a genuine education on what a ramp is. Which sets up next week nicely — the guys are raiding the history books for old-fashioned recipes.Like and Subscribewww.thecontinuumpod.comX - @thecontinuumpodInsta - @thecontinuumpodHosted on Acast. 190. 190 - Festivals to Airplane Etiquette
32:00||Ep. 190The guys pitch their tents this week and immediately go looking for a toilet. Adam's Glastonbury long-drop trauma sets the tone before they try to pin down what actually counts as a festival. Does a one-day food fair qualify, or does it need mud, camping and three days of questionable decisions? From there it's Burning Man (cult or art project?), Woodstock's surprisingly infrequent schedule, and the genuinely staggering 660 million attendance of India's Maha Kumbh Mela. Then Oktoberfest takes over completely, spiralling into a maths-based investigation of how many tanker lorries it takes to move 6.7 million litres of beer, a Guinness comparison nobody asked for, and a newfound respect for the women hauling ten steins at a time.It all wraps with a true story from a recent flight, where a maths disagreement between Adam and Kyle was settled by a stranger in headphones who'd clearly been listening the whole time. Which raises an uncomfortable question for next week: airplane etiquette, and just how much your neighbours can hear.Like and Subscribewww.thecontinuumpod.comX - @thecontinuumpodInsta - @thecontinuumpodHosted on Acast. 189. 189 - Rap Music to Festivals
32:28||Ep. 189Kyle finally drags Adam into rap music, and it kicks off with Adam performing a ChatGPT-written diss track live on the mic, immediately regretting every word. From there they spiral through the genre's greats: Tupac, Biggie, NWA, Snoop Dogg's suspiciously modest net worth, and a running debate over where rap ends and hip-hop begins.Naturally, it doesn't stay on topic. The guys argue over whether Kendrick counts as a rapper or a singer, whether punk deserves its own genre entirely, and pick apart a "100 greatest rock albums" list that somehow puts Elvis in the same category as Slipknot. Adam is unconvinced rap is for him, but agrees to let Kyle vet a few tracks for the Continuum playlist. Under strict "Adam approved" conditions. It's chaotic, contradictory, and just musically opinionated enough to start an argument in your group chat. Next time, they head to the fields: festivals are up.Like and Subscribewww.thecontinuumpod.comX - @thecontinuumpodInsta - @thecontinuumpod
188. 188 - DJs to Rap Music
32:18||Ep. 188Adam and Kyle pick the decks back up this week, arguing over what actually makes someone a DJ. From Spotify's AI DJ and childhood loop software like Dance eJay to whether a laptop counts as an instrument, they can't agree on where sampling ends and real musicianship begins.Cue a deep dive into dance and electronic royalty. Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, Portishead and The Prodigy all get put on trial, alongside a detour into Fred Durst's backwards cap and a surprisingly heated debate about whether bands peak on album one or two (System of a Down says otherwise). Naturally, neither Adam or Kyle can remember a single lyric correctly. It's nostalgic, nitpicky, and just musically snobby enough to make you double-check your own playlist. And next time? The guys attempt the impossible: talking Adam into rap music.Like and Subscribewww.thecontinuumpod.comX - @thecontinuumpodInsta - @thecontinuumpod
187. 187 - Spider-Man to DJs
32:21||Ep. 187With the Spider‑Noir review series finally behind them, Adam and Kyle return to normal Continuum service... and immediately get distracted. What starts as a chat about Spider‑Man quickly spirals into a debate about the best Peter Parker, why Tom Holland divides opinion, childhood memories of 90s cartoons, and just how many versions of Spider‑Man now exist across the multiverse. From Tobey Maguire and Miles Morales to Spider‑Ham and Nicolas Cage’s Spider‑Noir, no web-slinger is safe.Naturally, the conversation then takes a hard left turn into nostalgic TV, DVD box sets, animated superheroes, and the lost art of interactive DVD menus. There are shoutouts to X‑Men, Silver Surfer, Men in Black, and a passionate defence of owning physical media in a world of endless streaming.Just when it seems like they're getting back on topic, Spotify's AI DJ enters the chat. Cue debates about terrible music recommendations, fake randomness, old iPods, forgotten playlists, and whether technology is actually capable of shuffling songs properly. It's classic Continuum: one minute discussing comic-book heroes, the next arguing with an AI DJ about Michael Jackson.Next episode: DJs. Assuming they actually get around to talking about them.
186. 186 - Spider-Noir Finale - Review to Spider-Man
01:08:29||Ep. 186After eight weeks of detective hats, web-slinging, and Nicolas Cage weirdness, Adam and Kyle finally reach the end of Spider‑Noir. The boys break down the finale, from explosive showdowns and villainous power struggles to whether the ending actually delivered on everything the series had been building towards.Along the way, they debate loyalty, power, and why some bad guys just can't help making terrible decisions when they've already won. There's praise for the action, frustration at a few questionable choices, and plenty of discussion about whether the show was predictable... or just secretly well written. With the review series finally wrapped up, Adam and Kyle look back on the experiment as a whole. Was reviewing a TV show episode-by-episode a brilliant idea or eight weeks of unnecessary homework? The jury's still out. What isn't up for debate is Nick Cage's ability to make even the strangest moments entertaining. The final scores are handed out, the fedora is hung up, and the lads prepare to return to normal service. And with Spider‑Noir finally wrapped up, there's only one place left to go... Spider‑Man.
184. 184 - Spider-Noir Episode 6 to Episode 7 - Review
48:57||Ep. 184The boys are back for Episode 6 of their Spider‑Noir review series, and things take a seriously weird turn. Stepping away from some of the show's bigger storylines, this episode dives deeper into Ben Riley's past, exploring the aftermath of the experiments that changed his life and the growing mystery surrounding the people affected by them. Adam and Kyle discuss the episode's darker tone, the horror-inspired visuals, and the increasingly bizarre performance choices that make Nicolas Cage the perfect fit for this version of Spider‑Man. From unsettling dream sequences to creepy laboratory settings, the episode leans heavily into atmosphere while gradually revealing more about the show's central mystery. There are plenty of questions, a few surprises, and more than enough speculation as the guys try to work out who's actually telling the truth, who can be trusted, and where the story is heading as the series races towards its finale. With the stakes rising and the web getting more tangled by the minute, both agree this is one of the strongest and most unique episodes so far.Dark, strange, and packed with intrigue, it's another fascinating chapter in the Spider‑Noir story—and another excuse for Adam and Kyle to spend 45 minutes overanalysing a detective in a fedora.
183. 183 - Spider-Noir Episode 5 to Episode 6 - Review
45:02||Ep. 183Adam and Kyle return for Episode 5 of their Spider‑Noir review series, and this week the mystery takes centre stage. With Spider‑Noir largely hanging up the mask for much of the episode, the focus shifts towards origins, conspiracies, and the growing network of super-powered characters lurking beneath the surface of the story. The pair dive into Ben’s unusual origin story, discussing wartime experiments, horrifying discoveries, and how this version of Spider‑Noir differs from every other Spider‑Man adaptation they've seen. What starts as a long-overdue explanation quickly opens up even bigger questions about where these powers came from and who might be responsible. Elsewhere, Silvermane continues building his own team, old alliances begin to shift, and the boys debate whether some characters are too far gone, or if redemption is still on the cards. There’s plenty of speculation about secret motives, hidden agendas, and whether Doctor Faber is trying to save everyone or hiding something far darker. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Continuum review without a detour into Nicolas Cage’s increasingly bizarre performance choices, including what's quickly becoming a weekly "Nick Cage Scene of the Episode" segment.By the end, Adam and Kyle agree that while Episode 5 is lighter on action, it delivers some major revelations, raises the stakes for the second half of the season, and ends with a betrayal that could change everything going forward.
