  • 4. Episode 4: Pip Fallow interview

    49:50||Season 1, Ep. 4
    A special pod for you! This episode is a recording of our author event a few weeks ago with Pip Fallow, whose book 'Dragged Up Proppa' describes his upbringing in a County Durham mining town with lots of parallels with Gorebridge.Pip is an inspiring character, with lots of great stories from his past, but he's a campaigner too. He passionately believes in the power of 'Proppa Jobs' to bring meaning to communities, and wants to 're-industrialise' Britain's forgotten communities to reinstate a sense of social cohesion. He's also got some interesting political ideas too, redefining the idea of representation for citizens.Have a listen, hope you enjoy it.Some links:Dragged Up Proppa (Waterstones bio)BBC news item on the 'Proppa Jobs' campaignGorebridge Community Development TrustThe Beacon: Facebook
