Rouses Markets Expands in Capital Region with New Store

Rouses Markets Expands in Capital Region: New Store Opens in Central, Boosting Local Economy Rouses Markets has opened its twelfth store in the Capital Region, located on Joor Road in Central, taking over the old Winn-Dixie spot. This expansion is part of a larger deal from last November, when Rouses acquired ten Winn-Dixie stores across Louisiana and Mississippi. Local leaders are excited about the new store, as it brings fresh grocery options to a previously underserved area, drawing in outside shoppers and boosting the local economy. This is Rouses second significant move in the Baton Rouge area, following the acquisition of the nine-store LeBlanc’s chain in 2016 and the renovation of the shopping center around their Zachary store last July. With sixty-eight stores across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, Rouses is on a growth roll, with eight more openings planned soon along the Gulf Coast. Checkout Solipillow.com
